From the President...

Jeffrey Tignor, President of the Harvard Club of Washington, DCWelcome to the Harvard Club of Washington, DC!  We are a vibrant community of Harvard alumni living in the Washington, DC metro area.  Our members range from alumni who just moved to Washington, DC from Cambridge, MA to people who graduated more than fifty years ago. We offer many opportunities to learn, explore, and connect.

In addition to offering cultural, educational, social, and networking events, the Club is committed to giving back to our extended community.  Each year, we sponsor Summer Community Service Fellowships, interview more than 1000 applicants to Harvard College through our Schools Committee, award scholarships and Harvard Book Awards to talented students in our area, and organize various community service events.  Past events have included volunteering at food banks, helping in community gardens, organizing Habitat-for-Humanity days, and volunteering at local non-profit sporting events.

Our vibrant community is made possible through the support of our members and donors.  As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Harvard Club receives no financial assistance from Harvard University and is dependent on membership dues, event revenue, and donations to fund our operations and charitable work. Please join today and help us build a stronger community in the Washington, DC area.

Best wishes,
