Jinny Marsh’s Hot Kugel Klezmer Band performs Klezmer music, a traditional form of Eastern European Jewish dance music with roots that pre-date the Middle Ages, since then it has been mixed with American jazz and popular music, and continues to evolve.

The career of vocalist JINNY MARSH includes off-Broadway, summer stock, the New York Cabaret scene, commercials and entertaining aboard cruise ships. The Boston Globe called her a "lively, fun to watch singer.” She has performed on the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage with her Hot Kugel Klezmer Band, Shir Delite, the Sy Greene Quintet and in folk festivals in Lowell, Massachusetts, the Smithsonian, Washington, D.C., Glen Echo and in the DC metro area. Ms. Marsh formed her own musical group called, Jinny Marsh's Hot Kugel klezmer Band in 2000. Hot Kugel has 2 cd’s out: Grandma's Recipes and Klezmerika Eklecktika. Jinny was nominated for a Washington Area Music Association’s (WAMA) award in the category World Music as a Vocalist. TOM PUWALSKI is an accomplished performer and has appeared all over the world. His musical philosophy is to bring live music to everyone while breaking down the traditional barriers that exist between musical styles and genres.
Tom is the author of "The Clarinetists Guide to Klezmer" and has conducted workshops and clinics on clarinet performance and Klezmer music. In addition to numerous recording with the U.S. Army Field Band, he has released two recordings with Lox & Vodka as well as recording studio music for commercials, the Discovery Channel, and the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. ANDREW ZATMAN – Pianist. Andrew Zatman is an experienced, versatile
e pianist who can play in many styles. He has performed at the Millennium Stage in Washington, D.C. and at folk festivals locally and nationally with several different bands including klezmer. Mr. Zatman majored in music at UCLA. In addition to performing, he teaches piano and composes classical music, some of which has been performed at the Kennedy Center's Concert Hall. All concerts begin at 1:30 PM and last approximately an hour. A reception with punch and cookies as well as tours of the historic house museum are offered following each concert.
The doors open at 1:00 and seating is on a first come, first served basis.
