Flower Craft Workshop with Gail Jacobs
Limited to 15 participants who will create a garden in a saucer using plants, moss, and fresh flowers. The $45. price includes all materials.
For
more than 20 years Gail Jacobs has devoted her career to bringing the natural
beauty of field and garden into the home environment. Flower Craft evolved by
demand as Gail was asked to share her skills and vision. A visit to her studio
will introduce you to a new dimension of floral design. Through lectures,
demonstrations, workshops and consultations, Gail helps others appreciate and
enhance nature's handiwork. Flower Craft's workshops follow seasonal cues,
emphasizing the importance of basic design concepts; encouraging each student to
respect these elements and to develop an individual style that embraces the
subtle artistry of nature. Students are inspired by tours of Gail's garden
filled with seasonal flowers, grasses and evergreens.
To
assist you in the transition from admirer to arranger, the Flower Craft studio
is stocked with decorative containers, accessories and silk flowers. Gail has
lectured extensively. Her exquisite arrangements have been displayed at
Washington embassies, museums, VP Residence, the National Building Museum,
annual house and garden tours, and gala receptions and events.
