Harvard Club Wine Competition

Wine Tasting is for Yalies, at Harvard, wine is a competition. Limited to 20 people.

Wine tasting is for Yalies. At Harvard, wine is a competition.

Sure, you’ve been to a wine tasting before. Lots of people standing around, swirling wine in their glasses, and using words like “earthy,” “subtle,” and “effervescent.”

This is not your father’s wine tasting event. Here are the rules of the game:

(1)    Arrive early. Meet your fellow Harvard Club members. Have fun. That’s really what it’s all about.

(2)    Bring TWO bottles of your favorite wine. That’s TWO bottles of the SAME wine.

(3)    Your host for the evening – the Harvard Club’s own TK Yang – will prepare one bottle for tasting. The other bottle becomes part of the prize.

(4)    Everyone will get to try each of the wines. And everyone will vote on each of the wines.

(5)    If you bring the wine that gets the most votes for “best wine” – you get to take home half of the bottles that are designated for the prize. Whichever bottles you prefer!

(6)    If you bring the wine that gets the next most votes for “best wine” – you get to take home the other half of the bottles. Less one bottle – that’s reserved for whomever brought the wine that received the FEWEST votes.

That’s it!! So bring your favorite vintage (two bottles, please), and join us for a fun filled evening of spirited competition!

 price: $20.00  for members/$45 for non-members

Space is limited.
