Dr. Orrin Pilkey
On Thursday, April 25th, we will host an evening with Duke University professor Orrin Pilkey on the subjects of global climate, sea level change and their effects on shorelines. For 50 years, Dr. Pilkey has studied marine geology and coastline ecology. He has written more than 250 technical publications and has authored, co-authored or edited 39 books.
Among Dr. Pilkey's recent writings is this New York Times article from November 14th, entitled, "We Need to Retreat from the Beach".
