Cross Swords w/Alexander Ryjik '15 at the Virginia Academy of Fencing
Sasha is a member of the Harvard's varsity fencing team. He is a competitive A rated fencer and member of the United States National team.
Alexander (Sasha) Ryjik and the Virginia Academy of Fencing, the world's largest fencing school, have invited the Harvard Club of Washington DC to come cross swords with your friends and opponents in a participatory demonstration of the olympic sport of fencing. This includes a presentation on footwork, handwork, strategy, and actual fencing.
Sasha Ryjik is a current undergraduate at Harvard and is a member of the Harvard's varsity fencing team. He is a competitive A rated fencer and member of the United States National team. He has represented USA in the 2009, 2010, and 2012 Cadet and Junior World Championships and numerous world cups. He is a Pan American champion and a multiple time US National Champion.
The event will benefit both the Harvard Club of Washington DC and the National Fencing Foundation of Washington DC, a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to developing the personal character, academic achievement, and athletic excellence of our youth through the sport of fencing.
FREE for HCW. members and $25. for nonmembers.
Please come wearing athletic attire including athletic shoes with non-marking soles and long athletic pants.
