Sumesh Sood, Chief Investment Officer and Managing Member
Mr. Sood has over 15 years of experience in healthcare with 6 years of investment experience in the sector. Most recently, he was a Sector PM/Analyst at MTB Investment Advisors where he was responsible for healthcare coverage across all market cap ranges. Additionally, he spent over three years covering biotechnology as an Equity Research Analyst at FBR Capital Markets. Sumesh also spent six years in industry, most recently at Sanofi-Aventis where he was responsible for strategic planning and business development. Lastly, he spent considerable time in the academic laboratory setting both at Johns Hopkins Medical School and Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City; his work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed publications. Mr. Sood holds an MS in Molecular Biology and Immunology from the Johns Hopkins University, an MPH in Pharmacology from Columbia University, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Rochester.
George Abraham, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Member
Mr. Abraham has over 20 years of investment industry experience in operations, business development and marketing for alternative investment vehicles. Most recently, Mr. Abraham was a Managing Director at Yashar Capital LLC, where he assisted emerging entrepreneurs on strategy and raising capital. Previously, Mr. Abraham was a Senior Managing Director at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey where he created and raised over $350 million from investors globally for 11 alternative investment vehicles. Mr. Abraham holds an MBA in Marketing from Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from B.I.E.T in India.
