“This is No Joke – This is War”: How Americans First Learned of Pearl Harbor (working title)
In partnership with the Newseum, the National Archives presents a discussion of how the media of the time first informed and kept Americans apprised of the December 7th, 1941 attack on the naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, which plunged America in the Second World War. Hosted by veteran journalist Marvin Kalb, the program will feature film, audio, and photographic records from both the National Archives and the Newseum.
