In recent years, the implementation of mindfulness practice has been one of the top suggestions for improved mental and physical wellness. Indeed, research shows that mindfulness improves mood, increases positive emotion, and decreases anxiety and job burnout. Additionally, there are indications that mindfulness practice can strengthen the heart, decrease cognitive decline, improve immune response, and decrease psychological pain.
Harvard Club Member Xiaodi Chen HGSE '13, a licensed marriage and family therapist, will be leading a workshop to encourage attendees to explore your heart's desires, draw out your desired self for the coming year, and set specific intentions and actions you can take to achieve those desires. This will be an excellent workshop for those who always want to set resolutions, but find themselves unable to follow through. With mindfulness as your keystone habit, you are much more likely to experience other improvements in your journey to your best self.
