IN PERSON: The Washington Ballet's Nutcracker

A holiday tradition for ballet companies throughout the world, the performance of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite takes on a distinctly DC air during the Washington Ballet's production. Set in Georgetown and featuring a George Washington nutcracker as its star, the cast includes not only the professional dancers of the Washington Ballet company, but also children from the Washington School of Ballet.
We are delighted to announce that not only have we secured orchestra section seating in rows F & G, but also the exclusive pre-show use of the private 1924 Lounge, a sumptuous space within the theatre, featuring cozy, warm decor, comfortable seating, and a VIP entrance for our group.
Additionally, Washington School of Ballet board member, journalist, and former dancer Emilia Newell Ferrara has agreed to give us a talk regarding how the Nutcracker has evolved as a story with regard to social change over the 130 years of its history. This opportunity is not available to the general public, but will only be offered to our attendees.
Best of all, we were able to secure these tickets at a discount, so instead of the $175 face value, our members will be able to pay just $140 for this incredible experience. However, these tickets are extremely limited - we could only secure 20, and the show is otherwise sold out. So please be sure not to wait to get your tickets!
How to Get There: Blue, Orange, Red & Silver lines to Metro Center; numerous buses including the 54, 59, 230 & 250; several nearby parking garages.
Accessibility: There are no elevators in the theater, and our seats are unfortunately NOT wheelchair accessible, however, please contact julia@harvard-dc.org and we can work with the theater to see if an accessible seat can be arranged.
Covid-related Safety Requirements:
If you have recently tested positive or have symptoms, please do not attend this event. If you are ill, please notify us prior to the start of the event and we will be happy to credit your ticket payment to a future event. The Club encourages everyone to be vaccinated and boosted, and to wear masks indoors when not eating or drinking, especially when social distance cannot be maintained.
