We will meet at Barnes & Noble at 3040 M Street in Georgetown to walk to the trailhead of the Capital Crescent Trail and explore the wooded
trail along the river. The round-trip hike will be about 6 miles. There will be a stop for bottled water part-way through the hike and a lunch after the hike at Bodega, a Spanish tapas restaurant at 3116 M Street. Lunch will wrap up around 2:00 pm. Because Georgetown on-street parking is mainly on 2-hour meters, you may wish to park for about $10 at the garage across from Paper Moon on 31st Street or another nearby garage. A liability waiver will be required. No RSVP is necessary, but if you have questions, please email andrea_lea_charters@yahoo.com and alanviard@yahoo.com. There is no charge for the hike, but lunch and bottled water are at your own expense.
