Harvard Forum Posting Guidelines

By joining the conversation, readers agree to follow the community rules and posting guidelines:

1. Be respectful

Keep things civil. Avoid abusive or offensive language, threats, hate speech, libel and calls for violence. Posts containing nudity or sexually suggestive imagery, violence or offensive subject matter will be removed.

2. Be honest

Use your own identity; don't pose as another person. Don’t publish copyrighted material that belongs to someone else.

3. Be discreet

Don’t publish telephone numbers, addresses, passwords or personal information of yourself or others or solicit personal information from other users. Respect everyone's privacy.

4. Be responsible

Think about what you’ve written before hitting that button. Be careful not to promote false or misleading information, illegal activities or abusive, threatening, obscene or defamatory conduct.

5. Do Not Spam

Repeat posts and blatantly promotional commercial messages are not allowed.

Note: Moderators reserve the right to remove any posts or comments that violate the above terms. If users abuse these guidelines, they will lose access to the forums.

When creating a post or reply, your email will be visible for others to see. If you do not wish to share your email address with others, then you should refrain from posting in the Forum.
