The Washington, DC Chapter of the Harvard Veterans Alumni Organization (HVAO-DC) will host a panel discussion entitled “Education and Security: Keys to Afghanistan’s Future” on Thursday, February 21st at the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, 450 E St NW, Washington, DC 20442. 

The discussion will feature perspectives from experienced leaders in the education and military fields regarding the challenges of providing higher education in Afghanistan, the ways in which those challenges are being met, and their likely impact on the future of country.  Panelists include Roya Rahmani, Afghan Ambassador to the U.S.; Chris Taylor, CEO of data analytics firm Govini; Dr. Kerry Healey, President of Babson College and former Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts; General John Nicholson, former commander, U.S. Forces in Afghanistan; and moderator Morgan Ortegas, Executive Director at Ernst & Young.  Panelist bios are available here
