kreegerEVENT FULL!/Tour of the Kreeger Museum And Sculpture Garden

Join us for a tour of 19th and 20th century paintings resting on five acres of sculpture-filled gardens.

The Kreeger  Museum

Join us for a docent-led tour of this DC hidden gem. The Kreeger Museum, a private, non-profit art museum and the former residence of David Lloyd Kreeger (J.D. ’71) and Carmen Kreeger, rests on five acres of sculpture-filled gardens on Foxhall Road in the Foxhall Crescent neighborhood of DC. In addition to his prestigious career as President, Chairman and CEO of GEICO, David Kreeger was also an art philanthropist and a recipient of the 1990 National Medal of Arts Award.

Designed by Pritzker Prize winning architect Phillip Johnson, the museum features 19th and 20th century paintings by works of Monet, Picasso, Renoir, Cezanne, Chagall, Miro and Stella. A current exhibit introduces works that have not been on view for several years.  The permanent collection also includes prominent Washington artists and traditional African and Asian art.

Join fellow alumni and friends on a spring afternoon to enjoy the art work, sculptures and tranquil woods.  Registration is required.
