reconnect with harvard this holiday season
Dear Fellow Alumni,
What were your most memorable experiences from Harvard? Mine were late night conversations with my blockmates in Eliot House and running along the Charles with my teammates on the track team. All of us have different stories, but we are all connected through Harvard. The Harvard Club of Washington, DC exists to nurture old connections and help form new ones to support our professional and personal pursuits in the DC area.
During this holiday season, I would like to thank our members and donors for their generosity and continuing commitment to our community. If you are not a member, I invite you to join our community. Membership is free for 2016 graduates of any Harvard School and only $30/yr for 2012-2015 graduates of Harvard College. Regular membership is $60/yr. All membership dues are tax-deductible.
Did you know that the Harvard Club of Washington, DC is run by a team of volunteer Board members, committees, and a single, part-time paid administrator? We rely on membership dues, donations, and events alone to fund our operations. We do not receive any financial support from Harvard University. Despite budget deficits this year, we have been able to organize over 140 events and operate as the 3rd largest Harvard Club in the world. We also have a world-class Schools Committee that commits to interviewing all DC area applicants to Harvard College each year. I count myself lucky to be working alongside talented and dedicated colleagues.
We are raising the bar for 2017 and need your support. Based on feedback from the alumni survey we recently conducted, we are making changes to enhance member experience and our event mix. In the coming weeks, I will be providing more details on survey results and action items through email.
