Curator's Tour and Wine/Cheese Reception at the Hammond-Harwood House in Annapolis
The tour will highlight the museums collection and some connections to Harvard. Our tour will be given by the curator, Rachel Lovett, a graduate of the Harvard Extension School Masters in Museum Studies program, and HCW member.
About the Hammond-Harwood House Museum
The Hammond-Harwood House (a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization) is dedicated to preserving, for public education and enjoyment, the architecturally significant Hammond-Harwood House museum and its collection of fine and decorative arts including a premier collection of Peale family paintings and 21 pieces of furniture from master cabinetmaker John Shaw. The house is a five part Anglo-Palladian mansion built in 1774 that features some of the best woodcarving and plasterwork in America.
