After a major two-year renovation, the Renwick Gallery is open. Explore the opening exhibition, WONDER.
The Renwick Gallery is home to the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s collection of contemporary craft and decorative art, wich is one of the finest and most extensive collections of its kind.
Free for members and their guests.
Experienced Renwick docents, Susanne Joyner and Amy Krupsky, will meet
our group on the basement level at the Renwick Gallery tomorrow at 2 pm.
Please come down the ramp (handicap entrance) on the corner of
Pennsylvania and 17th Street into the basement level. We will put on
name badges there as we certainly do not need additions to our HCW
group.
There We will split the group in 2 and then guide the group through the
exhibit for one hour. If there are more than 30 people we will break up into groups of about
15 each and give each group a 1/2 hour tour. We expect it to be very
busy so guiding a large group at one time will not be possible and we
want to mAke sure that everyone has an enjoyable visit.
