map)
Washington, DC

You are invited to join Princeton alumnus Bruce McBarnette, members of Ivy Singles, and friends on a hike of a the Melvin C Hazen Park. We will meet at noon at the historic Pierce Mill at the intersection of Tilden Street and Rock Creek Parkway in Rock Creek Park, Washington, DC. We will tour the Pierce Mill before we hike. After the hike we visit the Washington DC Sukyo Mahikari center were we will enjoy pizza and refreshments and where some of us will receive a relaxing, revitalizing form of energy called “light” from Sukyo Mahikari practitioners. Everything including the pizza is free.

The hike is easy and is less than 2 miles. We will hike through the park and return to the Pierce Mill walking along Tilden. Those who want Pizza and/or light will walk with us to the Mahikari Center which is at 4479 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20008, which is a few blocks from the intersection of Tilden and Connecticut. Those who prefer a shorter hike can end their hike at the Mahikari Center instead of ending at the Pierce Mill. Bring water and footwear that supports your ankles well.
