IN PERSON: Fall Foliage Hike - Challenging

Join HCW and Master Hiker Barbara Saffir for a challenging six mile hike through Rock Creek Park, enjoying the fall foliage.

Date: Saturday, October 29th, 2022, 8:30am

Location: Peirce Mill, 2401 Tilden St NW, Washington, DC

Hike roughly six miles through Rock Creek Park's peak (we hope!) fiery orange, red, and yellow fall foliage.  We'll start at Peirce Mill (an Instagram-worthy hotspot with a history of spies), and then follow the same narrow, sometimes rocky (and a tad hilly) trails along Rock Creek where President Theodore Roosevelt once trekked.  We'll stop for selfies at famous Boulder Bridge, visit Miller Cabin, eyeball the old U.S. Capitol Stones (before they are possibly moved) and more.

Meet: 8:30am, Pierce Mill, 2401 Tilden St NW, Washington, DC
