The Harvard Club of Munich invites you to learn alongside us as we discuss “Mentalities of War, Mentalities of Peace” with Dr. Anika Seemann, LL.M. (Cantab). Join us for this virtual lecture on Thursday, July 8 2021 at 19:30 as Dr. Seemann discusses punishing Nazi collaboration in Norway after the Second World War and the legal, political and social challenges Norwegian decision-makers encountered in the process.

Dr Anika Seemann is a Senior Research Fellow in Scandinavian law and legal history at the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy in Munich. Her current research focuses on civil society, citizenship and social rights in Scandinavia in both a historical and contemporary perspective. In 2019, Anika graduated with a PhD in history from the University of Cambridge. Her doctoral dissertation, which she is currently developing into a book manuscript for publication with Cambridge University Press, concerned the trials of wartime collaborators in Norway after 1945. Her research interests more generally lie at the intersection of law, politics and nationhood in Western Europe during the twentieth century.
