Prepare Trail Mix for Martha's Table

Join fellow members of the Harvard Club in helping prepare trail mix for Martha's Table.  This event is co-sponsored by the University of Virginia Club of Washington DC and the KIPP College Prep (KCP) National Honor Society. The event will take place on Saturday, May 12th from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the KCP- KIPP Through College Conference Room.

Bring the family to commemorate Mother’s Day weekend by creating homemade trail mix to support Martha’s Table, a non-profit organization in Washington, DC that serves communities in need.  Children can get involved in creating healthy snacks that will be used at Martha’s Table’s family and early childhood programs.  Help us meet our goal to assemble 200 snack bags of trail mix in 2 hours!

Martha's Table is an organization that has worked for over 35 years to support stronger children, stronger families, and stronger communities by addressing emergency needs with healthy food and clothing programs, and working to ensure a bright future for children and families through quality education programs and family support services. The sandwiches you make will be distributed on McKenna’s Wagon, a volunteer-run, mobile food truck, which rolls out 365 days a year to provide hot, nutritious evening meals, sandwiches, fruit, and fresh-baked muffins to hundreds of homeless and hungry neighbors in need at three locations across the city every night.
