Volunteer at Rock 'n' Roll Marathon - Washington, DC

rocknrollThe Harvard Club is organizing a group of volunteers to support and cheer on participants in the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon in DC. We will hand out water, sports drinks and energy gel along the course, facilitate the organization/return of gear bags for each participant, and hand out medals, water, sports drink, fruit, protein/energy bars plus other food items after participants cross the Finish Line. This event takes place on Saturday, March 11th and shifts occur between 6:30am and 12:00pm.

What started as a simple idea in 1998 – a marathon with bands along the course celebrating each participant – soon transformed the running landscape igniting the second running boom.  While entertainment and the energy of a festival weekend define the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series experience, runners have raised more than $310 million for participating charities shows our heart and soul.  Rock 'n' Roll DC is the only marathon course contained entirely within the District of Columbia.

By volunteering on 3/11, you will not only support many participants running for various charities, but also meet other Harvard Club members and support the Harvard Club.  In recognition of our support, the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon will be making a donation to the Harvard Club, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
