Overview: For the eighth year, the Washington Ideas Forum, hosted by The Atlantic magazine and the Aspen Institute, will convene the nation’s premiere thought leaders for two days of idea sharing and deep conversation. From the heart of the nation’s capital, the Forum will tackle issues from politics and policy, to race and justice, to education and technology and beyond. On Thursday 9/29, The Atlantic’s Ta-Nehisi Coates will lead a discussion with Harvard President Drew Gilpin Faust and Georgetown President John J. DeGioia about how those storied academic institutions are addressing their anti-abolitionist pasts.
