The Harvard Crest is based on a 1644 hand-drawn design that President Josiah Quincy found around 1836 while conducting research in the College Archives for his book, The History of Harvard University. This design became the official seal of Harvard in 1843. This Tuesday, the Harvard Crest will be installed and unveiled at the University Club here in Washington, DC. 

The Sustaining Members, Patron Members, and Board of Directors of the Harvard Club of Washington, DC, are cordially invited to join in the celebration as guests of the University Club.
