Public health professionals, like civil servants in any administration, do battle for proper attention, funding and institutional support as part of their job description. It is an entirely different struggle, however, when their recommendations are inconvenient to the public, especially when public opinion is being actively shaped to question their veracity.

Join our virtual town hall as bioethics scholar Professor Robert Klitzman explores the multi-faceted intersection between bioethics and human psychology and whether the Hippocratic Oath is compelling enough to withstand the inconvenience of the truth.  The discussion will examine how both health professionals and the public can converge on the right path in wearing masks, social-distancing, self-quarantining, school openings, athletics and caring for the elderly.

Professor Klitzman will be interviewed by Dr. Ellen Fox, bioethics educator and consultant.

There will be a time dedicated to Q&A.
