Bread for the City Farmers Market

Join fellow members of the Harvard Club in helping distribute fresh produce at the Bread for the City Farmers Market on Friday, July 5th from 9:00am to 12:00pm. With the help of volunteers, Bread for the City creates an opportunity for community members to access fresh produce. 

Bread for the City is an organization committed to reducing the burden of poverty for DC residents. They provide food, clothing, medical care, and legal and social services to help DC residents develop their power and determine the future for their own communities. Everyone experiences moments of challenge and Bread for the City hopes to support each client while treating them with the respect and dignity that all people deserve.  Opportunities like the Farmers Market, strenghtens their vision od Washington, DC as nurturing community, where all residents have access to the basic material resources they need for survival and growth, and the prosperity of their social, emotional, and spiritual lives.
